Yinji: Young designers are the mainstay of design in the circle. How did you start your design path? What do you want for your future?
Han: I have been interested in painting since childhood. I was admitted to the Design Department of Central Academy of Fine Arts in college. Later, the Academy of Fine Arts established the School of Architecture. I have always been interested in doing design practice, so I set up an architectural design studio about 10 years ago, and started to do design while teaching. I don't have much plan for the future. I just want to do what I can as well as possible, increase my experience, expand my cognition, and carry out the design work more calmly.。

Yinji: Why did you choose to develop in Beijing? Do you like the culture of old Beijing?
Han: I stayed in Beijing because of my job and didn't think about other places. What attracts me to Beijing is its inclusiveness, diversity and openness.。

Yinji: You're an associate professor at Central Academy of Fine Arts. What do you think is the difference between teaching and design? Which state do you enjoy more?
Han: Teaching is about creating a classroom atmosphere where students can express themselves and inspire each other. Design is a specific solution to the problem, is a purposeful and continuous work. I like to switch between the two modes.Yinji: How do you view the relationship between traditional culture and contemporary nature in the works of Twisting courtyard, folding courtyard, Qishe Courtyard and Shui Bank Buddhist Temple?

Yinji: How do you view the relationship between traditional culture and contemporary nature in the works of Twisting courtyard, folding courtyard, Qishe Courtyard and Shui Bank Buddhist Temple?
Han:Transformation is a problem to deal with the relationship between the old and the new. It should be considered in a balanced way between the historical value of buildings and the behavior pattern of contemporary human settlements. There is no standard answer to the reform, so specific restrictions must be interpreted and appropriate responses made.
