Australian design Studio Flack Studio has brought a new brand dialogue And strategy to Ginger And Smart's retail space, setting the tone for a national rollout that they aim to take the Ginger & Smart brand to the next level.
Flack Studio's clients are so interested in their work that they are willing to travel from Sydney to see their work and spend a full day together enjoying the design process. Clients respect the design process so much that they almost never leave the design space. At the studio's first meeting, only 2 hours were allocated for the presentation, but they spent 6 hours.
For this project, the design studio wanted to be bold with colour, but it had to be based on choosing a colour that felt right, it's all about Ginger And Smart's DNA, so it needed a colour that would work all seasons. The dark green color was chosen repeatedly by Flack Studio after continuous discussions with the client.
The design studio also spent a lot of time discussing the dressing room space with Ginger And Smart. They shared their customer service experience with Flack Studio, largely to make sure the women they serve feel comfortable. So the studio's favorite design element is the dressing room and the feeling it can bring.
The plan of the project was changed three times, and after one presentation of the original scheme design, on the day construction began, the studio unexpectedly found that they had an extra 12 square meters. Also, in this project, there are two concrete columns that still have the builder's marks and notes on them, and although everyone tried to clean it up, it stayed because it was like telling another element of the story.
