Yinjispace：For your part, What are the true reasons that Minimalism appeals to more people?

Van Raemdonck Designs：Today's society, it is important to have a place where you can unwind and dwell on the here and now. I believe the design you stay in can have a massive impact. We're always in search for the emotions of harmony an serenity and we are convinced that the users of our designs experience this as well.

Yinjispace：In what aspects does Minimalism show? How would you find inspiration and use this inspiration in the whole process of a new project?

Van Raemdonck Designs：We pursue a timeless approach to create spaces that are serene and refined. I'm not in search of architecture that has never been done before. The word originality comes from "origins," flush with this I think every idea of novelty has an origin. I try to rid our designs of fashion or trends. We take our time to be in close dialogue with our clients to find the perfect balance between functionality, beauty and atmosphere.

Yinjispace：Which aspect or the harmony of some aspects would you pay attention to in a space?

Van Raemdonck Designs：Our designs are an exercise and quest for timeless design and proportions that will still be considered valuable hundred years from now. Architecture for eternity, pure architecture does not let historical developments throw it off track.

Yinjispace：How do you choose color and material? And create the texture?

Van Raemdonck Designs：I believe in the art of simplicity and want our realizations to become even more beautiful with time, when materials weather or receive a patina, an additional dimension is created.

Yinjispace：How do you think of the role of light? And how to use it?

Van Raemdonck Designs：In every project, orientation is part of the basis of the design. The way light and shadow give a space that extra dimension is a form of poetry for me. The moment this coincides with the design and the texture and patina of the materials used, the art of architecture emerges.

Yinjispace：Your admiring architects or interior designers? What do you learn from them?

Van Raemdonck Designs：One of my greatest inspirations is Dom Hans van der Laan. In addition to building four monasteries and a residence, Dom Hans van der Laan is renowned for his architectural theory, which to this day influences architects worldwide.
