Block722 Architects is an Athens-based architectural firm founded in 2009 by architect Sotiris Tsergas and interior designer Katja Margaritoglou. The firm integrates the regional traditions of Greece and Scandinavia, and uses interdisciplinary design practices to create natural and classic works that perfectly interpret the spirit and humanistic traditions of the Mediterranean site. The founder of Katja was invited by Yinjispacespace to share the first online sharing in China on 2.25 (Friday) at 19:00 with the theme of "Authentic architectural spaces and the essence of place", and the Singaporean architect Bing served as the translator throughout the process!
The design of each project stems from a thorough conceptual investigation. Simple geometric volumes, clean lines,top quality materials and small de- tails work together to create a unified space that carries a powerful yet humble sensation.The use of clean lines and the creation of auality architecture space are design rules that define each project, regardless of its scale.An important factor of the design and construction phase is the selection of excellent quality materials, thus enhancing a unique result. The desired architectural result is achieved by integrating the interior design into the conceptual phase and by considering the project as a whole.
The team combines Greek and Scandinavian traditions with interdisciplinary experience to create works that are confident, natural and timeless. The studio undertakes work ranging from residential to commercial and hospitality, managing all phases of building development in-house, from concept design to construction and delivery. Solutions always focus on quality materials, craft-based approaches and collaborations with local artisans and artists to interpret the 21st century Mediterranean spirit and traditions.
