Space Copenhagen

Founded in 2005 by Signe Bindslev Henriksen and Peter Bundgaard Rützou, Space Copenhagen is known for breaking the tradition and designing with a unique vision. Committed to furniture, lighting, accessories, art installations, private homes, restaurants and hotel interiors.

Both Signe and Peter graduated from the School of Architecture of the Royal Danish Academy of Arts. The two met and became best friends at the school. After graduation, they started their own company, focusing on small buildings, interiors and furniture as well as fine details.

At the time, there were not many specific offices in Denmark, and Signe and Peter quickly became the best competitors of each other. In 2005, they decided to merge their company into Space Copenhagen.

In addition to interior design, Space Copenhagen has partnered with some of the world's leading manufacturers to design more than 50 iconic products, including lighting and furniture, sculpture and silver. These different areas specifically reflect their ability to transcend many roles and apply emotions.

Known for its iconic style of elegant and classic design lines, Space Copenhagen incorporates contemporary edges of intuition and emotion, and their work has clear features: natural materials, soft colours, clear lines and meticulous craftsmanship.

Space Copenhage is both modern and warm, rustic and elegant. The team uses the long-lasting principles of Scandinavian design as the basis for breakthrough creative modernism. The company creates a new path by balancing the opposites - classical and modern, industrial and organic, matte and lustrous, light and shadow.
