Gerd Bergmeister, founder of Bergmeisterwolf, was born in 1969. He studied architecture at the University of Venice and the University of Ieopold Franzens in Innsbruck. Gerd Bergmeister studied architecture at the University of Venice, where he met Michaela Bergmeisterwolf at the University of Ieopold Franzens in Innsbruck. Bergmeisterwolf went on to study architecture at the Architectural Association in London and at the Milan Academy of Political Science. Professor of Design and Space at Rosenheim Technical University since 2017 and member of the Munich Urban Design Council since 2022.

Bergmeisterwolf proposed different design methods and solutions in response to the particularity of the project, in order to seek the coordination and balance between the architecture and the landscape. They are always able to explore the old architectural traditions and combine them with new materials to conceive clever, tradition-based, new designs.

The firm respects the traditional architectural form and extends the existing building structure, placing discontinuous elements into it in order to restore the form of the site, while interpreting and extending their inner spirit in a new way, realizing and reconstructing the order and changing the pattern of the existing landscape within the existing form.
