Alyssa Kapito grew up on Long Island and has five brothers and sisters. I studied Renaissance art at Columbia University. When she was writing a master's thesis on Renaissance art, she realized that she liked interior design and really wanted to try it. In 2009, Alyssa Kapito applied for an intern from Bunny Williams to turn to interior design. There, she met Vivian Muller.

In 2012, Alyssa Kapito and Vivian Muller opened their own company, Kapito Muller. Their designs are refreshing, clean and approachable. Neutral custom palettes are often used, and brighter tones are introduced through artwork and accessories.

Kapito and Muller exemplify the concept of perfect pairing, which transforms their aesthetic talent into their own personal style. Unfortunately, in April 2017 Vivian Mulle left Kapito Muller and the company was renamed Alyssa Kapito.

Known for its refined, modern interior design, Alyssa Kapito emphasizes elegant silhouettes, interesting textures and clean lines. Her designs are polished and customised to create the perfect balance between classic and modern pieces.
