The Wushuang Bu Er brand is committed to the selection and delivery of high-quality food, taking the taste experience that food brings as the core driving force. Through high-standard selection of food from different origins and of different categories, it delivers high-quality food products to high-quality customers of the same frequency. To proactively embrace future opportunities and possibilities, YuanShe Studio crafted an aesthetic model for the WuShuang BuEr brand by repurposing an old factory space. This model aligns with the brandIs own development, merging architecture, space, and delightful food into vivid scenes, creating a space that combines functionality with exhibition.

When discussing space, the dimension of time inevitably comes into play. The unique "temporality" of the old factory building on the project site became the underlying thread of the space. By leveraging the existing architectural form, the structure was adjusted while retaining clean lines and a minimalist framework, uncovering the most suitable spatial configuration and imbuing it with a distinct character.

To make the space fully functional, we delved into the daily workflows of the WuShuang BuEr team. Based on their habits and needs, we closed the original entrance, which caused excessive disruption, and added a new solid wood double-door entrance as the main access point, infusing the entryway with a sense of ceremony.

Within the space, while preserving the original large staircase, we introduced an additional staircase that connects with the platform area, forming a circular flow path. This turns movement through the space into an engaging exploration. By the fireplace and beneath the stairs, we created a serene corner for staff—a place for solitude or reading, where inspiration can occasionally hide and converse with itself.

Warm wood, natural stone, and soft coatings were used to construct the entire space. Within a low-saturation color palette, light and materials convey subtle emotions, expressing the mood and atmosphere of the space. This allows visitors to deeply resonate with the space, experiencing its warmth, natural simplicity, and authenticity.

The layered spaces and undulating steps conceal delightful surprises. A bar counter embedded in the double-height area serves as both a visual and functional focal point, while also creating a visual dialogue with the small loft on the second floor. This not only delineates functional zones but also subtly aligns with the logical flow of movement. Through such design approaches, every transition and elevation feels organically grown.
