A new spatial identity – Nidus has designed the new trade fair booth for Dibbern. A walk-in homage to timeless table culture, craftsmanship, and aesthetic durability.
The design directly references the Fine Bone China manufacturing process: a semi-circular ramp symbolizes the rotational movement that gradually shapes the material.
This is complemented by an elevated, circular counter. Together, these elements frame a central café setting, creating a calm atmosphere for encounters while maintaining the booth’s open character.
The rotunda showcases Dibbern‘s custom-made creations. The ramp is the central element, showcasing the Fine Bone China collection. The small cylinder not only showcases the Solid Colour collection, but also subtly guides visitors into the interior of the booth.
Sheltered behind the ramp, visitors sit as if in a café. Even the table lamps are from Dibbern. In the in-house café, conversations can take place in a calm and relaxed atmosphere.A spacious backstage area provides storage space, a kitchen, and retreat options.
The raw texture of the materials alludes to the natural state of the raw substances, forming a striking contrast to Dibbern’s refined product world. A floating ceiling element defines the stand vertically and ensures strong visibility within the exhibition hall. And best of all: the booth is reusable.
Dibbern commissioned Nidus to create a new spatial identity for the brand – a task that perfectly aligns with Nidus‘ expertise. Known for its sensitive and iconic designs, the architecture firm has successfully reinterpreted an existing brand in spatial form for the fi rst time. The result: a trade fair booth that precisely embodies and brings to life Dibbern’s values – craftsmanship, material quality, and timeless aesthetics.
