Cities are filled with steel and glass buildings, people are accustomed to measuring time with "speed" and defining space with "efficiency". They urge for a place where they can breathe, relax, and be themselves. We hope to break the traditional cold interaction methods in the office environment and reshape the experience of consulting and communication in a more softer, warmer, and more relatable way. Interaction is no longer just a procedural service, but a comfortable just like gathering at home.
The space is connected by a long corridor which linking two "halls", and is enclosed by modern blocks arranged in a staggered manner, easing the sense of closure. The line of sight extends with steps, and the walls are no longer used for separation, but instead provide a sense of transparency. It's like walking freely between the corridors at home. Plants grow in the corners, bringing natural scenery into the interior, cutting off urban noise, and creating a peaceful space.
We took "home" as the inspiration for space design, and designed the sitting space in the living room, the conversation space in the kitchen, the transition space in the foyer, and the leisure space on the balcony. After designing them separately, we integrated them and embedded them into the office space of the enterprise. Here, space is no longer just a functional container, but more like a warm space.
In terms of material selection, we have retained the original gray cement wall in OōEli and incorporated warm wood and natural stone. Different textures harmonize with each other in collision, softening the coldness of concrete and injecting a "home" temperature into the space. The bar counter polished with lacquer is connected to the original cement structure, establishing a dialogue of rigidity and flexibility between traditional craftsmanship and modern construction.
The elevated public area and the sunken negotiation area form a height difference, enclosing a scale similar to a family living room. People can sit here and have a conversation facing the landscape and nature. The height difference and layout of the space guide the natural occurrence of communication, making every conversation immersed in relax.
Light becomes a silent narrator in space. Soft scattering during the day, gradually warming up at night, and the space changing from bright to dim. Here, trading is no longer a core requirement, but rather a distance between hearts and a warm encounter between people.
