POISONLAB occupies a prominent street corner as a two-story destination that blends retail, social space, and lifestyle exhibition. Moving away from decorative layering, the design returns to the fundamental architectural vocabulary of volume and light. Within a standard structural frame, a series of pure geometric volumes are inserted, creating a sanctuary of quiet order amid the vibrant energy of the surrounding streets.

Architectural Interface: The Dissolution of Urban Boundaries The facade pursues a Modernist transparency. Moving away from the visual weight of typical commercial signage, the design employs black steel canopies to establish crisp horizontal lines. This allows the extensive glazing to fully open the interior to the city. To the right of the main entrance, a "lifestyle" display vitrine acts as a miniature contemporary art installation. This approach dissolves the physical boundary between inside and out; street life and curated exhibits merge, enabling passersby to glimpse the fluid spatial experience within.

Upon entering the first floor, the space is not partitioned by conventional walls but unfolds as a "fluid, continuous domain." The design employs a strategy of volumetric insertion, where functional nodes—checkout, display plinths, fitting rooms, and the staircase—are distilled into independent geometric masses scattered throughout the floor. Solidity and emptiness share the space. To maintain visual purity, a "hidden" tectonic approach is used: doors to service areas are seamlessly integrated into the wall systems through concealed joints. This reduction of secondary components dissolves utilitarian spaces into a continuous geometric interface, inviting customers to explore a non-linear path through the staggered volumes.

The staircase connecting the two levels forms the most materially substantial expression within the commercial space. Layers of beige limestone are stacked to create a monolithic volume, imbued with a sense of primal strength. More than a conduit for vertical circulation, it serves as a transformer of spatial atmosphere. The stone’s warm texture and precise geometric facets are sculpted by light, acquiring a tactile, almost sculptural intensity. Guiding the transition from the open flow of the ground floor to the contained intimacy above, the staircase uses its material weight to orchestrate a ritual of ascent.

Upon reaching the second floor, one's gaze is immediately drawn to and held by a central, suspended luminous installation.This artistic element does not merely occupy space but acts as a visual fulcrum—a spiritual datum that reorients the visitor after the ascent. Its lightweight, translucent presence establishes a clear center. Functioning as an organizational pivot, it elegantly delineates the VIP reception area at the front from the display and fitting zones at the rear.

Light transcends its utilitarian role to become a primary material for spatial construction. The soft, diffused glow emanating from the luminous volume engages in a warm-cool dialogue with the wooden pitched roof above. The design accentuates the emotive expression of materials under light: the delicate, silk-like quality of the luminaire, the warmth of wood, and the textural grain of the surrounding garments interpenetrate within the luminous field. After secondary refraction, the light generates a serene, sanctuary-like atmosphere reminiscent of sacred architecture. This ambient quality elevates the act of circulating around the installation, transforming routine shopping into a purer state of aesthetic contemplation.
