Hoan Clinic is a dermatology and wellness center located in Hannam-dong, Seoul. By blending functional and aesthetic medicine, it offers slow-aging care that nurtures both inner and outer beauty. The clinic believes in natural beauty that comes from a healthy body and mind. With the slogan "Time for Serenity," Hoan aims to create a peaceful and relaxing experience for every visitor.

To bring this philosophy to life in the space, we embraced the concept of a home, one of the most personal and intimate spaces. The goal was to make visitors feel as if they had been invited into a welcoming, healing environment. The space features carefully designed furniture and signage with artisanal details, reflecting Hoan’s dedication to craftsmanship.A curated selection of artwork and objects adds depth and character, creating a unique identity for the Hoan.

The third-floor concierge, the first welcoming space of Hoan Clinic, preserves the original beams and columns, creating a clean and simple design. As visitors step out of the elevator, they are greeted by a Burl-patterned display table showcasing books that reflect Hoan’s philosophy.Unlike typical clinics, where the waiting area is directly visible from the reception, Hoan’s waiting lounge is designed as a separate, intimate space—much like a cozy living room. Here, guests can relax, enjoy the view outside, and listen to calming music without interruption.Inspired by the unique blend of cultures in Hannam-dong, the design blends Eastern and Western elements.

The treatment room, where clients will spend the most time during their visit, has been designed as a private and intimate space. Clients are assigned a room number, much like checking into a hotel. The room is furnished with a comfortable single sofa for waiting, a wardrobe for storing personal items like coats and valuables, and a powder station for freshening up after the treatment. The powder station, reminiscent of an octagonal jewelry box, features a unique structure with double doors. When the small handle is pulled, a hidden sink is revealed inside.

Hoan’s signage was created in collaboration with artist Lee Myeong-jin, using ceramics. The main reception signage was crafted with harmonious colors and shapes that blend with the space, while the private treatment room signage features room numbers delicately engraved in the ceramic, allowing the flow of clients to be guided with a sense of craftsmanship.Hoan’s signature fragrance, created by LSS Scent to align with the brand’s identity, is paired with Lee Myeong-jin’s artwork, which doubles as a diffuser and a decorative object. Individual stereo speakers are installed in both the lounge and treatment rooms, with expert collaboration to create a refined acoustic design that ensures optimal sound quality.

Long Story Short focuses on creating a multi-sensory experience that goes beyond what photos can capture, allowing the space to stay in the memory of its users. By integrating scent and music alongside the design, we believe this is where the brand’sidentity truly comes to life.
