The honesty of nature and natural materials is an integral concept of this seaside villa, designed by AART Architects in Jutland, Denmark. From the main living areas to the private rooms on the upper floor, the Dinesen wood creates a calming, cohesive atmosphere that enhances the experience of the Nordic light and space throughout.
The villa’s lower level is built from brick, providing a solid, grounded foundation, while the first floor, clad in Nordic slate, contrasts with the brick, adding texture and a changing visual effect with the weather and seasons. This combination gives the building a unique, dynamic expression.
A true embodiment of craftsmanship and elegance, the Dinesen Ash Nature floors finished with light oil, create a natural flow that organically bridges the indoors and outdoors. The villa’s open layout invites the surrounding environment inside, with expansive windows and seamless doors blurring the lines between the living spaces and the coastal landscape.
The dark curtain hangs down, and the space retreats into tranquility. The veins of the water system quietly extend on the ground, reflecting candlelight like stars; Bamboo branches slanting against the mirror wall, as if in a deep forest under the moon. The zenith mirror extends the space infinitely, the dome embraces the ground, and all things return to the state of chaos at the beginning. The rustling of wind chimes, the tapping of water droplets on rocks, the low wandering of Sanskrit sounds... The sound system weaves an invisible barrier, freezing time. There is no boundary or self here, only the five senses sink into the abyss of tranquility, awakening the primitive resonance between the body and nature.
Finally escaping into a private cocoon, dark and earthy colors intertwine. The texture of stone and the touch of fabric quietly converse, and ancient bronze vessels hold the faint light of essential oil, creating a misty atmosphere of grass and trees. The therapist's technique is like the wind brushing past, gradually relaxing the skin and breathing, and plunging consciousness into the deep sea. The bamboo shadows outside the window pass through the veil and turn into ink residue on the wall. In a trance, they resemble a flat boat, drifting with the flow and returning to the tranquility of the beginning of heaven and earth.
Jingshe SPA takes "minimalism" as its form and "fusion" as its soul, using the emptiness of Buddhism, the emptiness of the East, and the wildness of nature to construct a metaphysical spatial narrative. The restrained dialogue between material and light and shadow, the poetic game between virtuality and reality, all point to the same destination - making space a medium, attracting people to touch the eternal tranquility of their hearts in the fleeting splendor.
