Entering the Realm of Emotional Flow. There was something formless yet complete, born before heaven and earth. The highest state of the Five Elements in the East. Is none other than the cyclical transformations of all things in nature. The entire furniture exhibition hall is permeated by the Five Elements, with five distinct spaces—Metal, Wood, Water, Fire, and Earth—extending into the myriad forms of existence.
Through an intriguing arrangement of wooden boxes of varying sizes, the space converges organically, unexpectedly enclosing a central atrium bathed in natural light, where verdant plants stretch freely, embodying the ease of life. The transitions between each space are marked by the representative colors of the Five Elements, guiding visitors through a seamless yet ever-changing journey. With every step, the scenery shifts, evoking emotional transformations and offering a rich visual experience.
The Glow of Dawn, The definition of all beauty and positivity. Drawing inspiration from the "first light of dawn" as the opening motif of the exhibition, it is deconstructed into "the condensation of light" and "the materialization of time," freeing itself from the constraints of conventional symbols and transforming into a dawn that awakens the senses, paving the way for an immersive artistic journey.
The ceiling is adorned with golden artisanal paint, as if morning light—enchanted into liquid gold—cascades through the openings of the wooden boxes, spilling precisely into the heart of the space. The light flows freely across walls, floors, and furniture, tracing a three-dimensional interplay of light and shadow, like countless wondrous moments of daybreak. Stepping inside, visitors seem to fall into the folds of time, traversing the interwoven threads of past, present, and future.
The Rebirth of Spring, A declaration of resilient vitality. In the Eastern worldview, every flower and leaf carries emotional significance, embodying the hope of discovering new life burgeoning within the foliage. The layout echoes the spiritual essence of classical Eastern gardens, embedding the dialectical relationship between decay and renewal, transience and eternity into the fabric of the space. This creates a contemporary setting that invites exploration, habitation, and contemplation—a truly immersive spiritual realm.
Freedom and Imagination, The gentle power that soothes the soul. Water is formless, flowing and transforming among all things, reshaping the interplay of reality and illusion. We gradually realize that in Eastern philosophy, "beauty" shares the same elusive yet comforting qualities as water, silently permeating every corner of life. Whether in darkness or daylight, it gives rise to endless imagination.
The Color of Fire, Igniting a new journey into the unknown. As a metaphor for the origins of civilization—from the discovery of fire to the Industrial Revolution—fire is deconstructed into a "vessel of life." Through the fusion of color, material, and spatial narrative, the orange-red artisanal paint becomes not only a visual focal point but also a materialized projection of life’s energy, symbolizing illumination that lights up the unknown path ahead.
The Eternal Cycle, A silent and enduring nourishment. Earth, the foundation of life and civilization, is the backbone of the land—a stable and externalized form. Its nourishment is slow and silent, yet profound and steady, allowing those who walk upon it to move with calm and confidence. Visitors wandering through this space will sense a force rising from the depths of the earth—a strength that is resilient, inclusive, and eternally renewing.
