A cozy, modern home in Collingwood, Melbourne, Australia, designed by local architecture and interior design studio Ha Architects. The designers provided privacy and refuge for the owners, softened by the incorporation of plant elements, combining industry with housing and redefining contemporary vernacular architecture.
       As a former industrial residence, The Blockhouse responds to both its current environment and its former ruins, proposing a design that recognizes both The past and The present. The studio combined recognition of the area's heritage with a proper context to create a sanctuary away from the traffic and bustle of Hoddle Street, one of Melbourne's busiest roads.
