Conceived as the home of a curator, El Departamento has designed HOFF’s new Marbella store as a seamless encounter between art and craftsmanship. This retail space, envisioned on a domestic scale, is defined by flowing curves, organic forms, warm hues, rich textures, and noble materials.

Following the design of HOFF’s Madrid store, El Departamento has scaled and evolved the concept to adapt it to the brand’s new location in La Cañada shopping center, Marbella. The creative team, led by Alberto Eltini and Marina Martín, together with HOFF's innovative vision, reinforces its concept of retail as an experience that goes beyond commerce to become a spatial journey. In this new 100m² store, this philosophy is brought to life through a carefully curated aesthetic inspired by the Mediterranean and the Alicante-based footwear brand’s origins.

The Marbella store retains the essence of the ‘artist’s home’ concept, adapted to its surroundings. Noble materials, neutral tones, and organic shapes come together to create an interior design that exudes warmth and a strong sense of identity. The space breathes an artistic yet welcoming atmosphere, where each piece of furniture is a sculptural, custom-made work of art. Neutral-toned stucco walls provide a textured, matte backdrop that integrates built-in shelving and stone storage units, reinforcing the space’s domestic scale. The floor, composed of small-format white tiles arranged irregularly and framed with clay joints, nods to traditional craftsmanship.

The ceiling, clad in oakwood panels, introduces a geometric rhythm that adds depth and height while housing minimalist, technical lighting. At the center of the space, a curved green ceramic display serves a dual purpose: showcasing products and offering a comfortable seating area for trying on footwear. At the back, HOFF’s backlit logo floats above the checkout counter, which is clad in the same ceramic material as the central display. Near the entrance, an oil painting enhances the feeling of stepping into a living art gallery, where every element is part of a carefully composed narrative.

El Departamento has curated a meticulous selection of furniture and decorative objects to enrich the store’s storytelling. Organic-shaped vases, handcrafted pottery, and a variety of natural textures and materials complete the atmosphere of this artist’s home. From the exterior, visitors are introduced to this warm universe through a wood mosaic facade, establishing a visual dialogue between the store’s interior and exterior.

HOFF’s new Marbella store materializes the evolution of El Departamento’s concept, taking the idea of an artistic, livable space one step further. With a refined selection of pieces, materials, and textures, the store becomes an ode to art, craftsmanship, and design, reaffirming the brand’s identity through meticulously considered interior design.
