Amazing things can emerge from a good working relationship, and this is what Cris Barros' flagship boutique demonstrates. This is the latest collaboration between the brand and the architecture studio run by Carolina Maluhy, which has developed over the course of 15 years. Here, natural materials, meandering curves, sand hues, lightness and artefacts rage in a world so closely associated with Cris Barros' vision.

Located in Belo Horizonte, Brazil, this 400-square-metre boutique consists of four bright rooms connected by entrances dotted with tropical plants. Visitors are invited to slow down and take a silent sensory journey through the store. The holiday mode is activated here, where an organic pool graces the entrance hall and sets the scene for the landscape surrounding the interior. High ceilings with large domes illuminate the interior and highlight reflections in the curves of brushed brass hangers.

In the second room, a large rustic wooden display table by Atelier Pedro Petry creates an earthy texture with curved walls and backlit mirrors. A curved cushioned stool, inspired by stone covered with lime or moss, is placed on an organic shaped green carpet to establish a dialogue with the wooden totem.

As a giant tent, the last room has a low ceiling, soft rugs, natural sand-colored linen curtains and a couch. The chandelier by Adriana Yazbek evokes clouds against the natural scenery, adding a warm and nourishing light to the space. A spacious hall in front of the dressing rooms, complete with a large rustic wooden bench, completes the sensory tour. Calm, minimalist and refined, this interior design is the culmination of the synergy and understanding that developed between Cris Barros and Carolina Maluhy during their long-term relationship.
