The home is nestled in Knightsbridge Gate, a restored Grade II listed Edwardian building from 1902, featuring 15 luxury residences. It was designed by W.D. Caröe (particularly known for his churches and cathedrals) and reimagined by MSMR architects, who transformed the internal spaces, blending heritage with modern design. The North façade is preserved, while the new South façade adds pergolas and terraces. The interior areas of this duplex were transformed by Bergman Design House, a London-based studio co-founded by Marie Soliman and Albin Berglund. The principal rooms overlook Belgravia and all interiors showcase a rich palette of materials, bespoke joinery, and meticulous detailing.

Drawing inspiration from the stunning views of Hyde Park and the nearby horse stables, the team of Bergman Design House wove equestrian elements throughout the decor. They celebrated the rich heritage of saddle-making through details like wax box leather, saddle stitching, and unlacquered brass with a true patina. Warm timbers and hints of travertine add depth and texture. “There’s an almost ethereal quality to the setting—glamorous and elite, yet playful,” explains Marie Soliman.

Spanning 6,214 square feet (577 square meters) across two floors, this residence offers a thoughtfully designed main level with four spacious bedrooms, a home office, formal dining, and a grand double-height living room. The open kitchen flows into a cozy living area, perfect for home cinema, with a stylish powder room. Elegant outdoor terraces provide peaceful spaces to unwind. The upper floor features luxurious master suites with en-suite bathrooms and private terraces for serene views and relaxation. The bathtub offers the best view in the home!

“The atmosphere we aimed to create in the Knightsbridge residence is one of serene elegance and modern comfort,” Marie Soliman says, “perfectly harmonizing luxury with a sense of homeliness.”
