A 360° house perched on a hilltop creates a subtle dialogue with its surroundings. Here, you'll enjoy impressive views across the valley, while the surrounding water and numerous trees create a sense of security.
By enlarging the natural pond and partially excavating the hill, the house is surrounded by water and the rolling hills of the unique landscape. This creates an intimate setting. The swimming pool in the basement is located at the same level as the pond, creating a natural extension.
To fully integrate the house into the natural surroundings, we sought a brick color that complements the brown-gray hue of the surrounding conifers. The acidified concrete canopies create a captivating play of shadows throughout the day, while the natural material also lends the house a more rugged edge.
In the open-plan living area on the ground floor, the panoramic view and the accompanying natural light take center stage, yet are always framed by a sense of security. This warmth is expressed in the details, such as a closable living room and large windows with integrated seating.
Architecturally, this is an understated project with a unique interplay of spaciousness and intimacy.
